Raising cows and calves here has been a profession for several generations, passed down from father to son and mother to daughter.

The profession of dairy cow and calf breeder in the Jura, the transmission of the profession with a future farmer, this is what I had to show with this professional photo report.

It is not an easy job but a job of passion. It’s demanding, both physically and mentally. There are a lot of hours to be spent on the farm, milking the cows, looking after them, feeding the calves, cleaning the barns, taking care of the crops and the pastures.

It is important that photographic images reflect the reality of an agricultural activity, showing the good and the less easy while not turning off candidates.
